Rose Grand Prix Engineering 004

GPE's first aero package.

RGP004 represented the first of two big shifts in the team's design philosophy with a new focus on lateral grip and cornering performance. This car, the aero group I created, and the aero package that it designed were crucial to our later successes.

Rose Grand Prix Engineering 005

The culmination of a lot of time and effort

RGP005 was a fundamental change in architecture resulting from product design methodology undertaken the previous year. It was a single cylinder, aero car focusing on maximizing cornering speed.  I had the opportunity to focus on improving areas of the car that had previously not been a priority and designed a new drivetrain structure and cooling system from the ground up while still remaining instrumental in the aerodynamics design. Ultimately, RGP005 was Rose GPE's most successful race car ever, finishing 7th overall at FSAE West.

Taking what I learned to a new team

While studying for my MSc at the University of Southampton, I took the opportunity to see if I could put everything I learned at Rose GPE together to help a new team reach new competitive heights. Ultimately, Southampton finished 10th at FS Czech, and doubled their previous best points total.
